چکیده
Increasing the corrosion resistance of aluminium alloys using surface treatments while reducing processes’ environmental impact and saving natural resources has become an urgent need. Some companies that typically use pollutant substances in their process lines have started to test low-environmental-impact products. This paper shows results obtained two commercial products for conversion coating AA8079 rolled-samples: first, rinse, containing CrIII (the so-called “Cr-free” products), second one, no-rinse, utterly free Cr, based on hexafluorotitanate dihydrogen hexafluorozirconate. The bare conversion-coated, organic-coating-covered samples were compared with each other, evaluating when immersed NaCl 3.5 wt.% aqueous solution. experimental showed completely Cr-free no-rinse coatings demonstrate performance comparable “Cr-free”. In addition, a comparison amount water used “rinse” “no-rinse” industrial is reported. Finally, estimation economic balance presented, considering waste reduction be disposed quantity used. aim this was some conversion-coating products, Cr are available nowadays, showing good protective properties low environmental-impact, guaranteeing which not negligible.

Lawsonia Inermis as green inhibitor for corrosion protection of aluminium alloy
Corrosion behaviour of aluminium alloy inhibited by henna was investigated by using weight loss analysis, Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and potendiodynamic polarization study. Lawsonia inermis or also known as henna was extracted by using ethyl acetate and methanol. The result from these characterization shows that henna extracted in ethyl aceta...

In this work, polypyrrole/ZnO nanocomposite (PPy/ZnO NC) was produced through synthesis of polypyrrole polymer in the presence of ZnO nanoparticles. The corrosion behavior of polyvinyl butyral coatings without and with different weight percentages of nanocomposite on the surface of 7075 Al alloy was investigated in 3.5% NaCl solution at different immersion times using electrochemical impedance ...

15 صفحه اولThe corrosion protection of AA2024-T3 aluminium alloy by leaching of lithium-containing salts from organic coatings.
Lithium carbonate and lithium oxalate were incorporated as leachable corrosion inhibitors in model organic coatings for the protection of AA2024-T3. The coated samples were artificially damaged with a scribe. It was found that the lithium-salts are able to leach from the organic coating and form a protective layer in the scribe on AA2024-T3 under neutral salt spray conditions. The present paper...
